April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time when communities across America come together to plant pinwheels—the national symbol of child abuse prevention—representing the happy, healthy childhood every child deserves.
Why Pinwheels?
Pinwheels represent childhood as it should be: carefree, playful, and full of hope. Since 2008, the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign has transformed April landscapes across the country into powerful visual reminders of our collective responsibility to protect children.
Your Donation Makes a Difference
When you donate today, you're helping us support the vital network of child abuse prevention programs across our state:
- $25 helps provide multi-lingual educational materials to affiliated local programs
- $50 contributes to maintaining our online training platform accessible to local programs and child welfare professionals statewide
- $100 supports the development of new curriculum modules for CASA advocate training
- $250 helps offset the costs of technical assistance to multiple affiliated local programs each month
- $500 contributes to our operational capacity to advocate for children at the advocacy and legislative level
- $1,000 helps fund a comprehensive training program that can be shared with affiliated local programs and community partners
