The ESWN Newsletter is the ESWN's monthly publication covering all things welcoming schools. Whether you have resources to share or want to shout out the work of an individual or partner organization, we want to hear from you. The Newsletter contains four main sections:
1. Every Student is Welcome in Colorado. We devote this section to sharing a story that touches on some aspect of equity-focused education policy in Colorado. Previous newsletters have highlighted experts in the history of the voucher movement, a senate bill that would require History colorado to conduct a study to guage the ongoing effects of slavery and systemic racism on Black Coloradans, and CDE's commitment to improving the wellbeing of students with its new resource hub, The Landscape of Wellbeing and Belonging.
2. Welcoming Spotlight. If you have a story about a member of your community or an organization working to advance equitable and welcoming schools, send it our way! Previous newsletters have spotlighted enrichment programs for young students of color and have featured the work of the Black Parent Network, a network of parents who advocate for Black students in schools, school districts, and other civic arenas.
3. Upcoming Events. Do you know of any upcoming summits, conferences, workshops, or community meetups? If you do, send them to us so we can tell ESWN members who might be interested in attending.
4. Resources. Have you recently read an article relating to the creation of welcoming schools or threats to that goal? Some past topics include ways to create inclusive curricula, the threat of declining enrollment in public schools, and incorporating the principles of antiracism into teaching.
Please submit your stories and/or resources below! At the beginning of your submission, please specify the section you are submitting for.

*In the case that we receive too many submissions to publish them all in the upcoming newsletter, we will do our best to include yours in the next month's edition, provided the material is still relevant.
