Missouri’s new paid sick leave law, which passed in Nov. with Proposition A is in effect since May 1st. Employers are now required to provide you with paid sick leave and cannot discipline you for using the time to care for yourself or family. Unfortunately, in a betrayal of voters, some members of the Missouri Legislature voted to overturn the will of Missouri voters by repealing Prop A. This means that on August 28th employers will have the right to repeal your paid sick time and force you to go to work while sick.
