Salaams! Thank you for your interest in Emgage's Emerging Leaders program. The application is below. Through Emerging Leaders, we want to empower young leaders in the Muslim community to connect their passions to civic service and become advocates for their community. The goal of our program is to allow Muslim youth aged 16 and older,* no matter their passions and career path, to explore how civic involvement is important for them and their field.
If you want to gain leadership skills, understand how government works, connect with public officials, and learn about how to be an effective change agent, then this program is for you! Expenses for trips and retreats will be fully covered by Emgage, and no expenditures are expected from participants.
In addition to scheduled trips and retreats, participating in Emerging Leaders will involve attending periodic virtual trainings and events to prepare for trips and retreats, and in-person workshops and events to enhance professional development throughout 2025.
*The typical age range for our Emerging Leaders is 16 to 29. Interested individuals who are not in this age range are welcome to apply and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
