Join Citizen Action of New York's 40 Years of Changing Lives - a gala event and reunion marking our 40th anniversary. The event is being held from 6-10pm on Wednesday, December 13 at the Museum of the City of New York (1220 5th Ave, New York, NY 10029). Expect food, drink, music and so much more!
At 40 Years of Changing Lives we'll reconnect with those who have been a part of our history and meet the next generation of leaders taking us boldly into our next chapter. We'll also be celebrating some key partners and leaders who have played a huge part in our work over the years:
Longtime Citizen Action labor partners United Auto Workers (UAW) and the Communications Workers of America (CWA);
Former Citizen Action organizer and current New York State Senator Lea Webb; and
Former Citizen Action president Ivette Alfonso.
We'll also be joined by special guest speaker Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers.
