Tell City Council To Pass Resolution 183, Federal Courts Must Appoint a Receiver to Takeover Rikers

Incarcerated people are in danger. Violence at Rikers is out of control. Since Mayor Adams took office, at least 33 people have died in city jails. It is disgraceful what is unfolding on Mayor Adams' watch. Until Rikers is closed, the federal courts must appoint an independent receiver to take over and improve conditions for people who are detained or employed there. New Yorkers deserve better.
