Thank you for your interest in YLGW Class of 2023. The YLGW Program is open to current high school sophomores and juniors in Washington DC, Suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia schools. YLGW participants need to be present from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM on the following Fridays to complete the program:

January 27, 2023; February 24, 2023; March 10, 2023; April 14, 2023; May 12, 2023

Please follow the steps below to successfully submit your application.

The YLGW Class of 2023 application is due by 5:00 pm, Monday, October 24, 2022.

1. Complete the online application by following the steps on this page. This form cannot be saved once started; we strongly suggest that you complete your personal statements in a Word document and paste them into the form when you are ready to complete the application in its entirety.

2. Following completion of this form, you'll be prompted to pay your application fee of $35 online with a card. Please complete the next step in your YLGW Application by paying the $35 application fee, which can be waived if the payment presents a hardship. To waive your fee, please reach out to Rebecca Hertz, at rhertz@lgwdc.org and provide your name and the organization that recommend you to the YLGW program.  A request for waived fee does not influence the decision of your involvement in the program.

3. Provide two letters of recommendation; one academic reference and one personal reference. Both of your references can submit their recommendations online at this link.
