The Acting Director of the Bureau of Land Management declared wild horses and burros to be “an existential threat” to public lands.
This is part of an effort to legitimize the plan that would put wild horses and burros on the path to extinction. Sign your name below on our petition to reject these dangerous comments which have no basis in truth or reality.
To William Perry Pendley:
As an American and a taxpayer, I call on you to rescind your recent statements claiming, absurdly, that wild horses are an existential threat to public lands. Wild horses don't even exist on 88 percent of BLM lands, and they share the small amount of land where they live with much larger numbers of livestock.
Be honest with the American public about the real threats: the industrialization of federal lands and your own advocacy for the selloff of public lands to private ownership.
Sincerely,
