This is the form to use if you are registering yourself.  If you are registering another person or persons on behalf of a union or organization, please use this form instead.

The APALA convention brings workers and allies together for powerful plenaries, business, and collective action. Convention links generations of workers and continues the groundwork laid by decades of training, political and civic engagement, and powerful campaigns for justice. APALA welcomes members of all International and National Unions, State, and Local bodies, worker centers, community partners, any other interested allies to attend.

The Early Bird Registration rate of $425 is available until 6pm ET, Friday, May 30, 2025.  The registration rate increases to $500 after that date. Convention registration rates reflect the increased costs of holding a convention in 2025.

General registration includes all days of the convention and the Gala.  Meals include lunch on Friday and Saturday and Gala dinner on Saturday evening.  Pre-registration starts at 4 pm on Thursday, June 26.  The Convention gavels promptly at 8:30 am on Friday, June 27 and is scheduled to adjourn on Sunday, June 29 at 1 pm.

Day Rates are only available for nonvoting delegates. 

Registration is nonrefundable. However, registrations may be transferred with permission from the registration purchaser. Transfer of registration does not entitle the new registrant to delegate status.  That will still be determined by either their chapter or union.  ​All registration transfers must be requested before June 20th, 2025.

All attendees must be a member in good standing of APALA to attend the convention. Membership in APALA shall be open to any person who 1) is a member in good standing with a Union and who believes in the principles and policies of the Trade Union Movement, 2) retired in good standing from a Union and who believes in the principles and policies of the Trade Union Movement, 3) or is a person who believes in the principles and policies of the Trade Union Movement. Attendees include voting delegates who are determined by APALA chapters or unions as well as nonvoting attendees. Voting delegates are selected by May 19, 2025.  Membership is not included in the cost of convention registration.

A T-shirt comes with your full conference registration.  (Day Pass or Gala Only tickets please select No T-shirt)

Sizing guide:

All measurements in inches.
"Bust"= Width across measured seam to seam.
"High Point Shoulder Length" = Where shoulder seam meets neckline to the bottom hem of the shirt.

LANGUAGE NEEDS

As part of our goal of making our events accessible, please let us know if you need interpretation/translation support in another language than English, and if so, which language you need support. We will make every effort to try to accommodate your needs, however, we cannot guarantee live interpretation or translations for all languages.

MEALS

Your registration includes lunches on Friday and Saturday and the Gala Dinner on Saturday.  You will be responsible for all other meals.  Based on the hotel's menu, we can only accommodate the following restrictions:  vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.  Lunch will feature a chicken, salmon or vegetarian option and the Gala Dinner will feature a chicken or a vegetarian option. The vegetarian option is also the vegan and gluten free option.

APALA MEMBERSHIP

All attendees including but not limited to voting and nonvoting delegates and workshop presenters at APALA's 18th Biennial Convention must be members in good standing.

CAUCUS SPACES

We would like to create caucus spaces for interested attendees during times when the convention is not in session. To gauge interest, please let us know if you would attend any of the following caucuses and if you would be able to lead the caucus.  We will try to accommodate people's interests.

Your presence at the Convention constitutes your consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded and to the release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction of any and all recorded media of your appearance, voice, and name for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity in connection with APALA and IAPALA and their initiatives, including, by way of example only, use on websites, in social media, news and advertising.

By entering the event premises, you waive and release any claims you may have related to the use of recorded media of you at the event, including, without limitation, any right to inspect or approve the photo, video or audio recording of you, any claims for invasion of privacy, violation of the right of publicity, defamation, and copyright infringement or for any fees for use of such record media.
