Electric Black Futures Interest Form

Electric Black Futures (EBF) is a transformative project that empowers Georgia communities to shape their electric mobility future.

Over the next three years, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, EVNoire, Clean Cities Georgia, and a host of local partners will utilize Department of Energy funding to ensure communities within three Georgia cities – Albany, Atlanta, and Savannah – are actively engaged and empowered to create and deploy accessible electric mobility initiatives and inform and support deployment of electric transportation-related funding.

EBF will work closely with communities in Albany, Savannah, and Atlanta to generate future-building coalitions focused on bridging e-mobility workforce and leadership opportunities. Our objective is to strategize and document accessible and innovative transportation systems in these dynamic geographies, and better connect clean energy policy and incentives to community leaders eager to lead technological developments in their areas.

Electric Black Futures is a three-year, DOE-funded project to generate and sustain pathways for Georgia communities to be actively engaged and empowered in building their ideal electric mobility future. Through the combination of community-based participatory research, artistic activism, and future-scoping, the vision of Electric Black Futures is to construct space for these communities to imagine their ideal clean energy future and create opportunities to turn these future visions into actionable strategies and transformative change.

This project's outcome prioritizes that communities in these three cities are actively connected and informed to create and establish accessible and innovative electric mobility initiatives and that electric mobility investments and clean energy funding can deliver what communities need and desire.
