2024 Santa Clara County New Employees Orientations (NEOs)

Complete your New Employee Orientation

Congratulations on your new job with Santa Clara County and welcome to your union, SEIU 521.

Your job classification is represented by your Union, SEIU Local 521, including your benefits and terms and conditions of employment are governed by a collective bargaining agreement negotiated between SEIU Local 521 and Santa Clara County. The employer and your Union have agreed on a process to make sure all new employees are informed about SEIU Local 521 and the collective bargaining agreement that covers your terms and conditions of employment. Accordingly, you have been authorized to be released on paid time to attend a Union orientation session at one of the locations and times listed below. That is your assignment for that time. You are assigned no other work during that time.

*In accordance with CA state law, government agencies must allow newly hired public employees to receive an orientation with their Union. The orientation is scheduled for 30 minutes of county-paid release time. Release time also includes travel time to/from the location.
