Don't sacrifice polar bears for Arctic oil

The Trump administration wants to allow threatened polar bears to be disturbed by seismic trucks weighing as much as 97,000 pounds as they thump their way across the most important polar bear denning habitat in our nation. We know that exploration teams will at best detect half of the bears underground, making it entirely possible that massive trucks could run over denning bears and their cubs.

I am opposed to any harassment or killing of polar bears in the name of Arctic Refuge oil. Polar bears are already seriously threatened by the climate crisis and Arctic warming. We can't afford the death of a single bear to fossil fuel development.
