Urge California Legislators to Make Big Oil Pay

Their Fair Share for Climate Disasters

For too long, taxpayers, municipalities, and the state have shouldered the costs of climate disasters. Now California Assemblymember Addis and Senator Menjivar have introduced California's Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act to make fossil fuel companies pay their fair share for damages they've caused in California. It's going to be a tough fight because Big Oil companies in California are powerful, but California's Third Actors can help win if we take action together. New York and Vermont introduced similar bills and won! Urge your state legislators to support the Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act.

Take action and write to your California assemblymember and senator and encourage them to support AB 1243 and SB 684, the California Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act.

These bills are getting voted on in Assembly and Senate committtees in late April. Your legislators needs to hear from you now! Your action makes a difference.
