NIAC Open-Mic Night

Join us for our FIRST virtual open-mic poetry & storytelling night hosted by the NIAC San Francisco Bay Area chapter, on Thursday, May 20 at 6pm PT/9pm ET! In an effort to celebrate our culture and be in community with one another, we're hosting our open-mic poetry & storytelling nights every third Thursday of the month. Attendees are welcome to share or just listen. We welcome poems & short stories in your language of choice! Folks who want to share will be given a five-minute time slot. Dr. Persis Karim, Director of the Center for Iranian Diaspora Studies at San Francisco State University, will be sharing her original work at the event.

You must be a chapter member of any NIAC chapter across the country to join. You can affirm or sign up for NIAC chapter membership at the bottom of this form. We will be assigning presentation slots on a first-come, first-served basis. If there's high demand to share poems & short stories, priority will be given to NIAC San Francisco Bay Area chapter members.
