It's been five years since we marched for our lives for the first time in Washington, DC and across the world to end gun violence. In the time since the Parkland shooting that launched the March For Our Lives, more than 200,000 people have died from guns in this country.
Despite their promises, leaders in Congress haven't even passed the most basic common sense laws to save lives, like requiring background checks for every firearm sale, a measure supported by over 90% of Americans. We're calling on Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to stop talking and start acting.
We have a gun safety majority right now, and we can't wait any longer. The moment is right now.
Senator Schumer, bring universal background checks to the Senate floor for a vote. Sign the petition and demand real change.
