Nick was found wandering in the snow in Oregon. He was hungry, abandoned, and terrified of people. We brought him to MCR because he truly had no other place to go. At the same time, another young pinto mustang named Basho had landed at a rescue in Sonoma, California. He also needed a place to be wild and free. Arriving at MCR at the same time, Nick and Basho became fast friends. Now, almost ten years later, we rarely see them apart in their MCR herd of over 200 wild horses.
