Help Minor Leaguers through a Delayed Season

Minor League Players make pennies on the dollar and are paid nothing during Spring Training.

With the postponement of the MiLB season, players will likely not receive their first paycheck until early May. Every donation goes to helping minor leaguers provide for their families during this difficult moment.

We have had a number of players reach out and say that a postponed season is going to make it very difficult for them--especially if they do not receive paychecks beginning in early April.

“I know [my teammate] and I are SOL if they tell us [the season] is canceled. I have a wedding I'm trying to save for and he's got a kid on the way.” —Braves Minor Leaguer

“If our season gets postponed, I'm gonna get my resume over to Home Depot or something. No way I can afford two kids without a paycheck” —Rays Minor Leaguer

Here is the data on current player salaries and the salary increase in 2021. A vast majority of ballplayers, even when they are getting paid, are making less than federal minimum wage.
