The Naugatuck River Restoration Coalition is a coalition of concerned organizations formed to ensure that safe, timely, and effective fish passage returns to the Naugatuck River. This means restoring fish passage at Kinneytown Dam, the first barrier to fish migration on the river that currently blocks access to more than 30 river miles of habitat. The NRRC is engaging with local, state and federal representatives and agencies to ensure that the owner of the dam is held to the requirements of their permit as a hydroelectric facility (which includes safe, timely, and effective fish passage).
