What We'll Be Doing

Join us for a beach cleanup at Moran Lake Beach. We'll remove trash and debris to improve this coastal habitat while enjoying beautiful ocean views. All cleanup materials will be provided, including buckets, grabbers, and gloves.

What to Bring

  • Comfortable, closed-toe shoes or boots 
  • Layered clothing appropriate for weather
  • Sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
  • Filled reusable water bottle and snacks
  • A coffee cup for the morning
  • Your own cleanup supplies if you have them (bucket, grabbers, gloves)
  • A change of clothes for the after-party!

Save Our Shores will provide all necessary cleanup materials, including buckets, grabbers, and gloves. SCMTS will provide morning coffee and light snacks.

After-Party at Woodhouse | 2:00 - 5:00 PM

Join us at Woodhouse Brewing & Blending after your morning activities to celebrate with:

  • Free food from Sampa Brazilian Food
  • Complimentary beverages from Woodhouse
  • Live music from local blues band Squid Row

Santa Cruz Mountains Trail Stewardship (SCMTS) coordinates Santa Cruz's annual National Trails Day event (part of a nationwide campaign by American Hiking Society), bringing together hundreds of volunteers and local partner organizations to celebrate and care for our trails. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, SCMTS is dedicated to creating and maintaining sustainable trail systems throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains.
