Urge Legislators to Protect North Atlantic Right Whales from Vessel Strikes!

Less than 350 North Atlantic Right Whales remain.

Two of the leading causes of mortality in North Atlantic Right Whales are fishing gear entanglements and vessel strike injuries. Reducing vessel speeds in critical areas and specific times when North Atlantic Right Whales are vulnerable reduces the risk of death and contributes to the survival of this critically endangered species. Although the Biden administration has proposed strengthening the current vessel speed rule, there are efforts in Congress to impede these improvements, acting in favor of special interests.

Take action today and tell legislators to support a strong vessel speed rule to save critically endangered North Atlantic Right Whales from being killed by speeding vessels!
