As the Oregon governor's race heats up, we're seeing a troubling trend of anti-LGBTQ2SIA+ rhetoric in our state, and attacks on the dignity and safety of trans kids in particular. The same forces passing state laws attacking trans kids across the country are here in Oregon. 

It's time to speak up and show that in Oregon, we love and affirm our trans, nonbinary, gender-diverse, and questioning kids.

By signing the Basic Rights Oregon #ProtectTransKids Pledge, you're promising to hold the line for our trans kids' rights to:

• Feel safe and supported in school and at home

• Have teachers and peers use appropriate names and pronouns

• Use the facilities that align with their gender identity

• Participate in the sports of their choosing

When you sign this pledge, you're saying you recognize that teaching inclusion and acceptance is good for all kids, and that for trans kids, it can literally save lives. 

When you sign this pledge, you are pledging to show up for trans kids: At the ballot box, at rallies and protests, at school board meetings, and at your own community schools. 

When you sign this pledge, you tell politicians like Stan Pulliam and Betsy Johnson that you choose love over hate, and you reject their divisive vision for Oregon.

When you sign this pledge, you send an important message to every trans kid in this state: You see them, you affirm them, and you'll fight for them.
