Protect the Right to Organize

Unions are the backbone of the American economy and are critical to strengthening our economic competitiveness. A robust middle class was built through the empowerment of workers. Unions and the right to organize allow workers to provide for their families, increase job security, protect against discrimination and harassment, ensure a safe work environment, and provide ample benefits. Jewish Dems is proud to support the rights of all workers to organize and support the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act, which would expand workers' rights to more effectively organize for better wages, benefits, and working conditions.

The Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act will:

Make it easier for employers and unions to negotiate fair agreements;
End some of the most egregious union-busting tactics;
Ensure that no employee be punished for striking;
Punish employers who infringe on the rights of workers; and
Give more power to independent contractors

In order to build back better, we have to create an economy that is built on respect and dignity. Write to your members of Congress to support the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act and enable prosperity.
