SB 188, The Montana Solar Shares Act sponsored by Sen. Christopher Pope (D-Bozeman), would enable more Montana-made power generation by removing the government red tape standing in the way. SB 188 would allow Montanans to invest in shares of a solar energy project. Those who participate would see savings on their energy bill for their share of the power produced.
Montana needs SB 188 to create more affordable energy options when so many people are struggling with rising costs—whether it's energy bills, property taxes, or just day-to-day expenses. SB 188 passed through both chambers of our legislature with strong bipartisan support and is now awaiting a decision from Governor Gianforte.
Urge Governor Gianforte to allow Montanans to opt into community solar programs: SIGN SB 188 INTO LAW!
