Atlanta Black Midwives Day Celebration ATL Drop In March 16, 2025 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM ET Create ATL, 900 Murphy Ave SW GA30310, Atlanta, GA 30310 On Sunday March 16, 2025, BFF will host a celebration of Black Midwives Day. This will be a space for Atlanta community members to celebrate the day before the Black Midwives Day resolution is introduced at the full council meeting on March 17. It'll also be a space to advocate for the celebration and recognition of Black Midwives Day across the nation. This event has 3 goals. 1. Celebration: We'll give Black midwives of Atlanta their literal flowers and show our love and support for the work they do. 2. Education: You'll hear from the organizations behind the movement for Black Midwives Day and learn how to get involved in the Black reproductive justice ecosystem.  3. Building community: We'll be providing up to 30 families the opportunity to take free family portraits with our onsite photographer to celebrate the expansive families that are here because of our ancestors' contribution to this work. Families of all kind are welcome!

There is an incorporation of group dialogue, sound healing, and movement practice to embrace a holistic practice of healing.

Pop Out and Get Free: Brunch and Learn is more than a community education session, it’s a chance to learn about this chaotic political landscape and build power to create the diverse, loving communities we deserve. People power is undefeatable, but we need just that - the people! Between the executive orders and the rampant misinformation, we see how crucial it is to stand up and fight back. Pop Out and Get Free: South Florida Community Event TO Activations April 5, 2025 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM ET Miami, FL In the practice of Transformative Organizing, BFF Power Building team is focusing on community building, transformative programs, and base building. As a national membership movement organization, we aim to organize our base in multiple cities to our flagship convening in June. Get Free: A Black Feminist Reunion is an opportunity for Black feminists from all over the country to convene for strategic planning, cross movement collaboration, joyful connection, and liberatory celebration. We are building toward Get Free by organizing different activations around the country. These organizing events are a chance for our members to practice their organizing skills and build community. By organizing various activations, we also have the opportunity to build our base and shift political consciousness.
