Hardin Blvd. in McKinney How to speak: The public comment, or open forum, portion of board meetings takes place during the first 30 minutes of the scheduled meeting time (6 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. for regular board meetings). At the conclusion of the public comment portion of the meeting, the board will move into closed session. The open meeting will resume following closed session. Sign-up to speak no later than 12pm on Monday Any individual seeking to speak at the Regular Board meeting must complete and submit the online Speaker Participation Form no later than 12 p.m. (noon) the day of the board meeting.

Community ReST Session 9/27/23 FIELD: SkillTraining September 27, 2023 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM What is ReST? ReST stands for “Resilience Strength Time,” and is a peer-facilitated conversation where participants share difficult experiences, listen to each other, feel understood, and empathize. As a safety measure, everyone is expected to appear on camera. We recommend participants find a quiet, private space where they can join the zoom session.

The Texas 88th Legislative Session may have ended but it's never to late to learn ways you can advocate for your community locally. This training will provide attendees with: - Update on the current state of LGBTQ+ equality in Texas and at the Texas Legislature; - Training and tips for providing testimony at the Capitol; - Training on how to meet with your lawmakers; - Ways to plug in to advocacy actions at the Capitol no matter where you live EQTX field organizer Gordy Carmona and TEC Director Stacey Monroe will be leading this training and anyone interested in learning how to get engaged is encouraged to attend.
