Train the Advocate 101: Overview of Compassion and Choices and end-of-life options
January 12, 2024
online over Zoom
The goal of Train the Advocate is to help advocates feel comfortable having meaningful conversations, learn how to present to your community about end-of-life care options, and grow the movement. Together we can ensure everyone has access to end-of-life care that matches their values, beliefs and priorities. This is a Zoom meeting, not a webinar, so volunteers can engage directly with staff and other advocates from across the country.
Train the Advocate: Dementia Values and Priority Tool
January 17, 2024
online over Zoom
We know that nearly 50% of older adults die with some form of dementia, yet the standard advance directives don’t address the complex and unique needs of people living with dementia. Our Dementia Values & Priorities Tool will help you think about and document your wishes regarding the type of care you want if or when you are living with advanced dementia. We’ll walk you through this new tool to share how we are working to transform how people live and die with dementia to ensure they are empowered and supported in getting the care they want, or avoid the care they don’t want.
