Though immigration policies are consistently among the top concerns of voters in this country, very few voters understand the issue and have been indoctrinated to believe a false narrative. Tonight, Action Hour team lead Dale Story, Congregational & Justice Organizer Michelle Venegas-Matula, and special guests will examine some Texas state policies based on those false narratives and share “talking points” for shifting the immigration debate. Using this information, we will practice having conversations, grounded in the value of love, that change this false narraitve. In this way, participants will leave better equipped to work for a pluralistic, multi-racial democracy where all communities thrive. Please join us!

During September, October, and November, we will engage with the Beacon Press book and 2021-22 UUA Common Read, Zach Norris' Defund Fear. (Note, we'll as a group determine new dates for October & November due to Jewish High Holy Days & Thanksgiving.)
All are welcome: you don't need to be UU or from Texas!

A brief grounding and training will be followed by text banking with ongoing support from Keshet staff. We recommend using a computer with a steady internet connection for the best experience.
Please register directly with Keshet; registration link provided in the event confirmation. Check out all Keshet's electoral work at https://www.keshetonline.org/tzedek-tzedek-tirvote/
