UU the Vote 2020

How We Thrive, an online revival of hope, song and determination, is just a few days away. I'm excited to share our line-up of speakers as well as some tips on how to watch the livestream on Tuesday.

How to Watch

How We Thrive will be live-streamed on Facebook and the YouTube. If you haven't already, join our UU the Vote Facebook group or subscribe to the UUA's YouTube channel to get reminder alerts and quickly access the live feed on May 12.

Speakers

  • Rev. Dr. Susan Frederick-Gray, President, Unitarian Universalist Association
  • Paige Ingram, Community Organizer, Black Lives of Unitarian Universalism
  • Desmond Meade, Executive Director, Florida Rights Restoration Coalition
  • Analise Ortiz, Campaign Strategist, Smart Justice, ACLU of Arizona
  • Rev. Ashley Horan, Organizing Strategy Director, Unitarian Universalist Association

Host a Watch Party

Watch with friends! While we shelter-in-place, sharing space and building connection is important. Host a "How We Thrive" Facebook watch party from your group, congregation, or personal page.

Watch parties are a great way to connect and discuss the topics in the event in an intimate setting. As we talk about ways we can all take action to guarantee free and fair elections and what our role is during this pandemic, a watch party is a great way to begin brainstorm how your community will #VoteLove and #DefeatHate in 2020.

Invite a Friend

Keep our momentum going and our movement growing by inviting one or more friends to watch via Facebook or by signing up to get a watch reminder by email

In faith and solidarity,
