CLERGY RESOURCE

Happy Easter! Alleluia, He is risen!

We wish you peace and joy this Easter season. As you reflect on the risen Christ, the Light of the world, we also ask you to remember our brothers and sisters around the world who live with the daily threat of violence, hunger and insecurity. This Easter, we pray that we can bring Christ's light to those who suffer these injustices as we live out our faith in caring for the most vulnerable.

CRS on the Ground

After years of conflict, the people of the Central African Republic (CAR) have emotional wounds that need healing and reconciliation. High rates of violence and unemployment continue to plague the region as well. CRS is currently working with partners on peacebuilding initiatives in the CAR that include grants for trauma-healing workshops and business programs. One such program recently awarded a small business grant to women in Mboko village. According to Marie Voto, one of the women from Mboko, "by working together, we not only meet our daily needs but we have peace." Read more about peacebuilding in the Central African Republic here.
