Tips for a Successful Fundraiser

Thank you for using your time and passion to raise critically needed funds for Physicians for Reproductive Health and our advocates. Our work isn't possible without dedicated people like you.

After you register, check out these tips to help make your fundraiser a success!

1. Make it Meaningful

CelebrationsCelebrations: Raise funds for your birthday, an anniversary, a graduation, a house warming party, or any other special milestone in your life

Athletic EventsAthletic Events: Participate in a local sporting or endurance event—a marathon, a bike ride, or a yoga or cycling class

Create Your Own: Get creative and party with a purpose by hosting a special event like a dinner party or game night

2. Personalize Your Page

Share how our mission to protect reproductive health care is important to you and why you started your fundraiser. A personal story or message will help connect and inspire potential donors.

3. Be Your First Donor

A great way to kick off your fundraising is to make the first donation. Making that first contribution will inspire your friends and family, and demonstrate your committment to this important work.

4. Share, Share, and Share!

Post your fundraising page on your favorite social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Start by posting once a week and then increase the frequency as you make progress towards your goal.

You can share why you're fundraising, how much you've raised, and thank your donors. Every post can raise visibility for this issue and inspire potential donors.

For your Inner Circle: Create a list of close friends, family, and colleagues so you can send each a personal message. Direct and personal outreach goes a long way!

5. Thank Your Donors

Send a personal thank you to each of your donors within a few days of their gift. This special thank you will validate their choice to support your fundraiser and acknowledge their important role in helping you reach your goal.
