Bike/Walk Rodeos at BikeMN
BikeMN is able to support bike/pedestrian safety events, such as bike or walk rodeos, through our Walk!Bike!Fun! program.
A bike or pedestrian rodeo is a bike safety event perfect for community events like national night out, after school programs, summer educational programs, or open houses. Utilizing stations to practice skills such as crossing the street or proper helmet fit, a rodeo event is a great way to engage neighborhood youth and pass on more information about safe biking, walking, and rolling!
Typically, BikeMN is unable to facilitate or host rodeos. However, we are able to train your staff or volunteers free of charge with our Ambassador Training curriculum. The program includes both a free toolbox (guide) of best practice background and activities as well as hands-on training that can be tailored to a school’s or community’s needs. Ambassador Kits of supplies are also available on a limited basis upon request. Training takes approximately 2-3 hours and can be done at your location. Learn more information here.
