In addition to advocating for laws that require secure storage of firearms in homes and vehicles, we use the Be SMART framework to have conversations with parents and caregivers about keeping children from accessing loaded firearms. We'll join with a panel of community partners to discuss the strategies each group is using to promote secure gun storage, and explore ways our organizations can increase our reach and effectiveness, both individually and in collaborative initiatives. Tell your story on a postcard, card or letter concerning gun violence and how it has affected you. All written cards will be delivered on April 25th for our Advocacy Day. Bring a few colored pens, markers, pencils and stickers. We will provide the blank cards, postcards and plain paper to write a letter.
