Transportation Equity Listening Session with Rep. Pursell and other key legislators! Public Meeting April 28, 2024 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM CT Carleton College Weitz Center, rm. 236, 320 3rd St E, Northfield, MN 55057 Our Northfield community and communities across Greater Minnesota deserve a more accessible, affordable, sustainable transportation system that connects us and cuts climate emissions at the same time. Carleton student leaders have been engaging hundreds of fellow students and key administrative leaders the past few months, and now we are excited to hold a listening session with state legislators including Rep. Pursell, and invite neighbors who share this vision across the wider community. Please join us for a forum over dinner to share experiences with the current system, our visions for transforming it, and strategic action we and statewide leaders can take going forward. ISAIAH End of Session Rally at the Capitol Public Meeting May 7, 2024 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM CT ISAIAH leaders from across Minnesota will rally at the Capitol and call on our legislators to deliver on any “unfinished business” as we reach the end of the session– likely to include healthcare, housing, climate, and childcare priority bills.

National Day Without Childcare Public Meeting May 13, 2024 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM CT Minnesota State Capitol Building, 75 Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Saint Paul, MN 55155 Join us at the Capitol on May 13 to rally for childcare! Iron Range childcare providers are CLOSING down their childcare centers on Monday, May 13 to make the point that our communities cannot run without childcare. We'll be heading to the Capitol by bus with signs in hand to rally around the need to fund childcare and early learning! Sign up below to join and reserve a spot on the bus! The bus will leave Mountain Iron around 8:30 am after an 8:15 press conference, stop at the Scanlon Park and Ride in Cloquet between 9:30 and 9:45, and arrive at the Capitol around noon. Return trip starts at 3:00!

Housing as a Human Right: A Plan for Olmsted County, 2024-2030 Public Meeting June 13, 2024 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM CT Peace United Church of Christ, 1503 2nd Ave NE, Rochester, MN 55906 What if we treated housing like a human right? In 2020, Olmsted County was forecast to need 18,000 additional units of housing by 2030. With higher growth due to Mayo Clinic’s expansion, the need will be even greater. Olmsted County is a leader in Minnesota for its commitment to locally-owned and -controlled housing that is permanently affordable, targeted to a range of incomes, and democratically controlled so that residents have a voice in the operation of the housing. On June 13, come learn more about how Olmsted County is leading, and call on our county commissioners and local partners to dream even bigger to address our community’s urgent need for affordable, healthy, and climate-friendly homes.
