On October 13, International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) and its Russian affiliate Russian Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (RPPNW) held an event where older physicians passed the torch to a new generation to continue to fight to rid the world of nuclear weapons and the threat of nuclear annihilation.

MSNBC to air "In the Dark of the Valley" featuring PSR-LA

Congratulations PSR-Los Angeles! Associate Director Denise Duffield and PSR-LA President Dr. Bob Dodge are featured in an award-winning documentary about the contaminated Santa Susana Field Laboratory (SSFL) near Los Angeles. MSNBC will air the film, "In the Dark of the Valley," nationwide on Sunday, November 14 at 10:00 pm EST. PSR-LA also recently helped expose that counter to CalEPA claims, radioactivity migrated from SSFL during the 2018 Woolsey Fire.

Time is running out. Cut military emissions before it's too late.

PSR is among 140+ groups who signed on a COP26 call to action for governments to cut military emissions

Ahead of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), 140 organizations including PSR National, PSR Arizona, and San Francisco Bay Area PSR are among the signatories on an open letter to Nigel Topping, the High Level Champion for Climate Action, calling for Military greenhouse gas emissions to be an agenda item at COP26.

New Report takes a deep dive into the companies responsible for prolonging the nuclear weapons threat

The Center for International Policy released a report this month written by William Hartung, the Director of the Arms and Security Program at the center. This report looks at the "Profiteers of Armageddon," the top contracting companies that stand to benefit heavily from modernizing the U.S. nuclear weapons arsenal and destabilizing the international security environment.
