ABOUT EQUALITY ALABAMA
Equality Alabama is the state’s oldest advocacy organization dedicated to advancing equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer Alabamians where they live, work, learn, and play.
Our vision is a fair and just Alabama.
Equality Alabama is comprised of three organizations: Equality Alabama Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that leads the organization’s public education and civic engagement efforts; Equality Alabama, a 501(c)(4) that leads the organization’s lobbying and advocacy efforts; and Equality Alabama PAC, a state political committee that supports the organization’s political endorsements.
Equality Alabama is an aggressive advocate of inclusivity and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds — particularly people of color, women, LGBTQ people, people living with HIV, immigrants or refugees, people with disabilities, and people from low or moderate incomes.
Equality Alabama provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment including (but not limited to) hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
