We are grateful that the House of Representatives and the Senate voted to pass the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act. China's persecution and internment of the Uyghur Muslim community in Xinjiang is reprehensible and demands our attention. In what is considered the largest incarceration of an ethnic-religious minority since the Holocaust, China has pushed more than 1 million people into “re-education camps,” where they endure torture, forced labor, and forced sterilization.

This is why Jewish Dems support the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, which will:
This legislation is an important step toward ending the genocidal actions against the Uyghurs. Until all minorities are free from persecution, our work is ongoing. As Jewish Americans who stand for liberty and freedom everywhere, our job is not done until the camps are closed and the Uyghurs are free. While more work is needed, this bill is an important step toward combating genocide.
Sign here to thank your Members of Congress for taking action to support the Uyghurs.
