AFB American Foundation for the Blind - Expanding Possibilities for People with Vision Loss

Protect Life-Changing Programs for People with Vision Loss

The current administration’s proposed 2020 budget makes clear: people with disabilities or our capacity to contribute to society are NOT valued.

This administration is willing to cut housing, education, employment, aging, health care, civil rights, transportation, and research programs that assist people with disabilities and our families.

It does not make economic sense to cut programs that help people with disabilities work, live in their own homes, get to their jobs, and access the opportunities that all Americans enjoy.

These government-supported programs are life changing for blind and visually impaired Americans. This administration MUST reconsider the 2020 budget and put forth a budget that restores (and even increases) funding to these important programs.
