Give Voters the Chance to Support Teachers

Tell Legislators and the Governor: "Let voters decide what to do with 'excess' revenues!"

Last Thursday, State Economists dropped a bombshell: Four years of expected TABOR "surpluses" ($10.25 Billion) are just about equal to the $10 Billion cut from our schools over the 14 years since the Great Recession.

What does this graph tell us? Colorado is collecting enough revenue – even after two income tax rate cuts – to significantly increase funding for public schools, teachers and students.  Polling shows voters want to use the surplus that way, but we can't vote if nothing is on the ballot.

Call to Action: Use the tool below to tell your legislators and the governor to give voters the chance to support teachers at the ballot!
