At this perilous moment for the security of Jews worldwide, we strongly support the nomination of Dr. Deborah Lipstadt to serve as Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism with the rank of ambassador-at-large. 

Now more than ever, we need a dedicated leader to address the growing domestic and global threat of antisemitism. Jewish Dems applaud the Biden-Harris administration's decision to nominate Dr. Lipstadt, an esteemed scholar of both Holocaust and Jewish studies, to serve in this essential position with the rank of ambassador, a first in this capacity.

Combating antisemitism is a top priority for Jewish Democrats and the Biden-Harris administration. Dr. Lipstadt has dedicated her life to fighting back against Holocaust denial, antisemitism, and misinformation that negatively affects the Jewish community. She is eminently qualified to serve in this role. We urge the Senate to quickly confirm Dr. Lipstadt and send a clear message that antisemitism, bigotry, xenophobia, and racism have no place in the United States of America or anywhere in the world.
