Congressional Republicans just passed a budget resolution to cut $1.5 trillion from government programs to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy. Their proposed budget threatens funding for critical programs that tens of millions of Americans rely on, including:  

• Medicaid, Medicare, and SNAP benefits
• Student financial aid; and  
• Clean energy tax credits.  

Now that Republicans passed the budget resolution, the next step is to pass legislation codifying the proposed cuts. The GOP budget will make it harder for Americans to afford healthcare, groceries, and other living expenses. It will strip healthcare away from tens of millions of Americans, including more than 30 million children. It may include cuts to Social Security, and will almost certainly cut Medicaid.
