On August 21st, community healer, organizer, friend and comrade, Sadie Dean, was detained by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the Tampa Police Department after weeks of harassment at the behest of Chief Brian Dugan and his force.

In a protest earlier in the summer, Sadie attempted to save protestors from white supremacists by encouraging them to step away from an escalating physical altercation. As a result, she was targeted by a tactical force team of 9. They came to her home, undercover, to abuse and arrest her on a felony charge of kidnapping.

We know Sadie has never kidnapped anyone, and we understand these actions and charges are just racist acts of the state.
