Hand in Hand co-leads the New York Caring Majority. We are an organization committed to building a Caring Majority in New York State and nationally.

We fight to improve our home care system through campaigns and policy change, as well as to win rights for home care and other domestic workers. Hand in Hand also supports people who employ workers in their homes to make their homes fair workplaces. Hand in Hand does direct organizing on a national level.

Why can't I just become a member of New York Caring Majority?

To build power, we come together under the banner New York Caring Majority, but NYCM is not an organization in itself! Hand in Hand is a primary anchor of our work, especially in Hudson Valley, Long Island, Upstate and Western New York. In fact, many of NYCM organizers that you know and love, including Ilana, Julia, and Gemma work for Hand in Hand!
