Join Greater Hells Canyon Council Conservation Director, Jamie Dawson and Watercolor Artist, Robin Coen for a fun Saturday of sketching and painting at her property near Baker City following the Friday evening opening of her exhibit “Refugia of the Blue Mountains” at Crossroads Art Center.
Event Details
Date: Saturday, May 3rd
Time: 9:00 AM-3:00PM
Where: Good Bear Ranch, 14803 Mill Creek Lane, Baker City, OR
Who: Artists of all skill levels are welcome. This is an informal outing so please bring your own painting supplies, a folding chair if you want to sit, water container, hat, sunscreen and sack lunch. There will be no formal instruction, however, most experienced artists are willing to share their tips and tricks. We will have plenty of room to spread out; in the field overlooking the valley, next to Goodrich Creek or in the woods behind the house.
Things to think about:
Weather can still be precarious in May so bring something to put on if it is cool or rainy. There are views from the house and porch if weather is truly unacceptable.
This is a special opportunity to explore your relationship with NE Oregon's uniquely beautiful landscape and meet some fun painters like yourself. You will also hear a little bit about Greater Hells Canyon Council and our work preserving the Blue Mountains Ecoregion.
