FAN-PAC was busy and effective in the 1st quarter of 2019. In our ongoing effort to fill critical frontline positions at FAN-PAC, create good policies, continue to generate awareness regarding the emotional health of our children, and create coalitions with other NJ organizations and professionals, we are becoming the true voice of our children in Trenton, I'm proud to report that FAN-PAC completed numerous activities to advocate, inspire and educate our communities during the past first quarter 2019. These activities were prepared and executed by FAN-PAC volunteers who passionately delivered to ensure the needs of our children are being met.
In particular, this dedicated group of volunteers embraced the FAN-PAC mission as part of an ongoing organizational need to continue our community outreach efforts. They answered our call to serve on committees and in leadership roles as event chairs and directly guided the vision. With individual passion and the guidance of executive leadership we have dramatically increased the depth of our membership by making a focused effort to collaborate with other related professionals. We have found success in seeking opportunities to collaborate on developing innovative solutions and by recognizing where we have common ground with stakeholders, focused on results. FAN-PAC walked alongside these groups to create partnerships and align professionals to move together with FAN-PAC towards our common objectives.
During the quarter FAN-PAC executed on our mission to ensure the voices of our children are heard in Trenton and in all courthouses in New Jersey. We continue to work with our legislative partners advocating for Shared Parenting Bills S273 and A1091. Meanwhile, FAN-PAC was also working with both current Assembly members and prospective candidates running for the New Jersey Assembly in the upcoming elections in November 2019. FAN-PAC is working together with these candidates to ensure these legislative seats are held by Champions for Our Children. When we speak with these candidates and professionals we look to educate them regarding the importance of ensuring our children are their priority, to demand that New Jersey better meet the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century family and to work with us to recognize the critical importance of providing for the future of every child in New Jersey regardless of the family structure. We will continue to hold our elected officials accountable to our children while actively seeking an honest, open dialogue with all of our representatives to seek solutions, creating a family court that better meets these needs.
I had the privilege of speaking to supporters either in person during the FAN-PAC, events and through our social media channels. Participants and supporters at these events seek to learn the several FAN-PAC methodologies employed to serve and craft solutions to better the outcomes of children whose parents go through family courts. During these panels FAN-PAC touched on a number of topics, including who are the legislators opposing Shared Parenting, and the controversy generated by the opposition mischaracterization of the current bills in NJ Legislation, as well as the support needed to guide these legislations through both Assembly and Senate Judiciary Committees.
Finally, I want to recognize the passionate and selfless commitment of the FAN-PAC leadership groups and the actions of the Legislator Executive, David Kalen. David has spent numerous hours and days building and implementing solutions. David has sought to bind the FAN-PAC mission with our vision to collaborate, and engage other organizations and professionals into the consensus of crafting the ongoing solutions needed. David is a strong believer that to better serve our children, that when called upon, the Family Court must empower both parents to be maintain a constant presence and influence in the lives of their children.
David's actions of hard work, extraordinary selflessness, and kindness, represents the commitment we are all called to do; elevate the pitch of the most voiceless in Trenton and call upon our legislators to listen and support our children. This and many other acts of people wanting to get involved into transforming Family courts every day at FAN-PAC brings me great pride to continue our fight for our children. As part of these efforts, I have discussed numerous times with both Assembly members, and Senators the criticalness of their support to of Shared Parenting, and how the FAN-PAC message has served as the basis for many of them to join the transformation of NJ Family Courts. We are acting as the driving force behind the S273 & A1091 Legislation to give equal shared custody and the rights to children to have equal access to both of their fit and loving parents. Having discussed the issues at hand with both senators and Assemblypersons, I know their commitment. But much remains to be done that legislators cannot do. This is why FAN-PAC entered into our groundbreaking initiatives for advocating, educating and inspiring our local communities that remains unaware of the Family Court dysfunction and separation of children from their fit and loving parents within our own American families.
Please help us Fight for our Children!
