Help Fairness WV make our schools safer for LGBTQ kids

The fact is, LGBTQ students in West Virginia face incredibly high rates of bullying and harassment from their peers. About 30 percent of lesbian and gay high school students in our state attempted suicide in the last year, according to CDC data. And we don't even have numbers for our transgender kids, but we know it's probably higher for them. We must do better.

Our organization is in the middle of charting out a multi-year plan to improve the education system for LGBTQ kids. Teachers need to be trained on how to best support LGBTQ students. If you believe all kids are worthy of an equal education, help us launch this project by contributing $50 today.
