TO: NHA Executive Management
FROM: NHA Staff and Supporters
Union members at Neighborhood House Association are an essential part of the Head Start, Early Head Start and Nutrition programs. We are dedicated to children and families and love the work that we do, but passion alone cannot sustain us.
When NHA approached us about lifting wages for union members, we were encouraged. However, that proposal only included select positions. We also later learned that NHA did not intend to raise wages for all current employees within those positions they had identified for increases. We understand the need to recruit new staff to fill our many vacancies, but we also must retain the dedicated staff who are working in the program now.
We are calling on NHA to prioritize both recruitment and retention, by offering fair wage increases for all of us. |
