Western Region Microplastics Sampling Volunteer Interest Form

Please Note: MountainTrue's Western Regional Office is located in Murphy, serving communities in the Hiwassee, Nottely, Little Tennessee, and Savannah river watersheds.

The microplastic sampling process is pretty simple — a quart jar would be provided so that you can go out and collect a water sample at an assigned site. The jar would then be dropped off at the nearest drop-off location to you (TBD). Here at the MountainTrue Western Regional Office, the samples will be processed in our lab using a vacuum filtration system and a microscope. Interested in volunteering?

Please fill out the contact form below to be added to the volunteer interest list for the Western Region Microplastics Sampling!
