On Monday, November 14th there was a special session of City Council for the sole purpose of holding a hearing on Bring Chicago Home--a plan to fund adequate housing and services for Chicago's 65,000 homeless residents. This hearing was an important legal step in the process, but 25 alders failed to show up, which meant the meeting could not proceed. We're calling alders who attended to thank them for supporting the democratic process, and alders who failed to show up to let them know we're angry that they obstructed democracy and endangered our homeless neighbors
