Tell America’s No. 1 Sporting Goods Store to “Don’t Be a Dick’s!” when it comes to kangaroos.

Thank you for caring about the welfare of kangaroos and supporting our efforts to convince Dick's Sporting Goods to stop selling soccer shoes made from kangaroos shot for their skins.

Earlier this year, Nike and Puma made decisions to halt the use of kangaroo skins in their soccer shoes. But Adidas has long been the biggest user of kangaroo skins, and that company continues to sell kangaroo-based soccer cleats. The largest sporting goods retailer in the United States, Dick's shouldn't provide a sales platform for kangaroo-skin shoes from the Germany-based athletic wear giant.

It's especially hypocritical for Dick's — which markets itself as “responsible stewards of the planet” — to traffic in wildlife parts after the fires wiped out hundreds of millions of animals in Australia just a couple of years ago.

We are grateful for your support of our Don't Be a Dick's campaign and hope you'll spread the word to others by sharing this petition. Dick's will change its way only if consumers rebel over its wildlife-killing policy. Together, we will convince the retailer and the remaining manufacturers that shunning sales of kangaroo skin is the only sporting decision.
