For far too many people in this in this country health care is unaffordable, and yet prices just keep rising. High and rising hospital prices are a leading driver of this crisis. Decades of unchecked health care industry consolidation and anti-competitive business practices have resulted in massive price increases with no commensurate increase in quality or safety. 

It is time we rein in the harmful business practices of hospitals and large hospital systems and finally ensure that people are charged fair hospital prices, and their health care premiums don't keep rising out of control and aren't saddled with thousands of dollars in debt. The time for change is now!

Families USA and six other leading organizations are coming together as the Consumers for Fair Hospital Pricing Coalition to put forward a strong consumer driven agenda that ensures everyone can get the high-quality care they deserve at a price they can afford.
